Click Clack Jack: a rail legend, is a family film about a kind hearted 1870's Train Engineer, Jack, who is traveling aboard his train when a mysterious old man runs out of the woods in a panic sticken fear and trips and falls and appears to be knocked out and lifeless upon the tracks. Click Clack Jack manages to stop the train just in time. Jack befriends this stranger, tends to his wounds, and offers him a place to stay while he heals.Meanwhile back in Potter's Gap the evil Baron Snodgrass is plotting to destroy the town to search for the gold he never could find on the outskirts of the town his grandfather built, with the help of Click Clack Jack's father, some years ago. In a desperate attempt to save the town Click Clack makes a deal with Baron Snodgrass to purchase the rights to the town equal to the value of the Gold the Baron hopes to find beneath the town. He has one week to match the Baron's estimate of Gold.Click Clack Jack and his Aunt Jo decide to organize an auction to raise the necessary money. The entire town pitches in a selfless action and gives their most valuable and best for the good of the most. After the auction Click Clack stores the money in his workshop until his meeting with Baron Snodgrass the next day.The following morning Jack goes to retrive the money and his shop has been broken into and the money is gone. The town, with some persuasive help from Baron Snodgrass, blame the mysterious new stranger for the theft and he is immediately arrested.Click Clack Jack visits the Hobo in jail. The Hobo appears to know of some Gold burried on the outskirts of town. He gives Click Clack Jack a map and tells him to 'Have Faith'.The map takes Click Clack to a locked box burried deep in the hills. Realizing that the key he has been wearing around his neck since his Father's death when he was just a small boy is the key that opens the box, questions arise as to how the Hobo knew this. How did the Hobo know Click Clack Jack's father, and how did he come of such a treasure map?Click Clack Jack rushes the Gold to Barons Snodgrass with the Sheriff just in time. While Click Clack hands over the Gold Baron Snodgrass has a poer struggle with Click Clack over who owns the land the Gold was found on.In the end Click Clack Jack uses the Gold to buy the Potters Gap from Baron Snodgrass and since someone came forward and saw one of the Baron's thugs break into the shop and steal the money the Hobo is set free. The film ends with the Hobo revealing that he knew his father and that he thought Click Clack Jack should have an old Gold pocket watch with a Train on the outside that belonged to Click Clack Jack's Father. More questions for another time...Click Clack Jack showed the Hobo kindness when nobody else would. Even though he looked wierd and different Click Clack looked at his heart. And in the end the whole town was saved. As the Hobo leaves town he reveals that he knew his father and knew that the key would open the box of gold.
